B2B LOGISTICS GUIDE
Metal Cooler Capacity, Packing and Container Planning
Nominal liters, exterior product size, usable interior space, carton dimensions and container quantities answer different questions. Keep them separate when comparing models and planning freight.

Short answer
Use nominal capacity to shortlist models, exterior dimensions to check placement, carton dimensions and gross weight to request freight, and an approved packing plan to book the shipment. A listed container quantity is a planning reference—not the MOQ and not a loading guarantee.
Five numbers that should not be mixed
How carton volume is calculated
For dimensions stated in centimeters:
Carton volume (m³) = length × width × height ÷ 1,000,000
Example using the listed 15L retro cooler carton: 39 × 32 × 37 cm ÷ 1,000,000 = 0.046176 m³, shown as 0.0462 m³ after rounding. The calculation is reproducible, but the final carton must still be confirmed for the ordered configuration.
Selected catalog examples
| Reference | Capacity | Carton size (cm) | Gross weight | Calculated volume |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mini carry cooler | 7L | 35.5 × 28 × 28.5 | 3.0 kg | 0.0283 m³ |
| Front-latch cooler | 15L | 39 × 32 × 37 | 4.2 kg | 0.0462 m³ |
| Speaker cooler | 50L | 60.5 × 42 × 45.5 | 9.5 kg | 0.1156 m³ |
| Patio cooler cart | 73L | 82.5 × 43 × 43 | 19.3 kg | 0.1525 m³ |
These values are catalog references and transparent calculations, not final freight quotations. See each product page for complete caveats and downloadable CSV data.
Why container references can change
Final quantities may change with carton revision, accessory cartons, pallets, protective materials, loading layout, route limits and the selected container's usable payload. Ask the supplier and freight provider to confirm the final packed sample and loading plan before booking.
Freight-ready questions
- How many finished units are packed per carton?
- Are legs, wheels, shelves or game parts packed separately?
- Are the dimensions for assembled or knocked-down condition?
- What are final gross weight and carton measurements?
- Will the order use pallets, slip sheets or floor loading?
- Which Incoterm, port and destination charges are quoted?
