Custom Metal Coolers with Logo: What to Put in Your RFQ
A useful custom metal cooler quotation starts with the exact construction, quantity, destination and artwork requirements. “Please quote a branded cooler” is not enough to confirm MOQ, decoration feasibility, packing or timing.

Short answer
Send seven items: selected cooler family or model, nominal capacity, order quantity, destination country, vector artwork, color references and packaging requirements. State whether you need a sample, inspection records or a required arrival date. The supplier can then confirm which logo process is suitable, the model-specific MOQ and the approval sequence.
1. Identify the construction before the artwork
A capacity number does not identify a cooler. A 15L front-latch box, a 17L carry-handle cooler and a 73L rolling patio cart have different printable areas, hardware and packing. Start with a link to the exact product family and, where available, the catalog reference dimensions.
- Portable promotion: compare retro metal coolers and 7L mini coolers.
- Patio or hospitality: compare rolling cooler carts.
- Metal-finish program: review stainless steel ice chests.
- Outdoor event format: compare wagon coolers.
2. Define the artwork file and brand colors
Provide a vector logo when possible and identify the intended panel, lid or visible face. Include Pantone, RAL or another agreed color reference if matching matters. Screen printing, water-transfer decoration, full-color wraps and embossing can be discussed, but they are not automatically available on every surface or at every quantity.
3. Separate sample approval from production approval
Ask the quotation to state sample cost, artwork setup, dispatch estimate and what the sample represents. Before mass production, approve a written specification covering model, dimensions, color, logo size and position, hardware, packing and any agreed inspection points. A marketing rendering is not a substitute for an approved physical or documented configuration.
4. Make packaging part of the product brief
State the sales channel: bulk promotion, retail shelf, ecommerce fulfillment, hospitality installation or distributor stock. Ask for carton dimensions, gross weight, units per carton, accessory packing and carton marks for the selected model. If you need individual color boxes, barcodes, inserts or palletization, list them before the final price is confirmed.
5. Ask only for performance claims that can be evidenced
Do not assume a universal ice-retention time, food-contact compliance, material grade or outdoor durability rating across an entire category. Put the required performance or destination compliance in the purchase specification and ask what model-specific evidence can support it.
