Metal Cooler Sample Approval Checklist
A practical checklist for approving construction, hardware, logo, finish, packing and model-specific evidence before a wholesale or private-label order.

Approve one complete order reference
A useful approval record links the model drawing, finish, artwork, hardware and packing to the same sample. Use this checklist to capture what is approved and what still needs revision before production starts.

- Record the exact model, drawing revision and sample identifier.
- Confirm exterior dimensions, usable interior dimensions and net weight.
- Record shell, coating, liner, insulation and any material-grade requirements.
Hardware & assembly
- Check lid movement, latch operation, handles and mounting points.
- For carts or wagons, check wheels, pulling arrangement, brakes where specified and assembly instructions.
- List the opener, drain, cap catcher, shelf and any spare parts included in the order.
Logo, color & finish
- Approve artwork version, dimensions, position and decoration method.
- Use an agreed color reference and inspect the physical sample under suitable lighting.
- Record acceptable appearance criteria for corners, edges, coating and printed areas.
Packing & shipment
- Approve retail artwork, inserts, protection, carton marks and accessory packs.
- Record units per carton, carton dimensions and gross weight from the packed sample.
- Confirm pallet use and forwarder loading assumptions before freight booking.
Performance & documents
- Agree any required test method and acceptance criteria before production.
- For thermal claims, specify fill, starting temperature, ambient conditions and opening pattern.
- For speaker coolers, identify the exact module, battery where applicable and destination documentation.
Record decisions clearly
For each checkpoint, note the agreed specification, the result, the action owner and whether a revised sample or document is needed. Keep the approved artwork and packing references together. If a component changes after approval, record the revision before relying on the earlier sample.
Ask for evidence that matches the configuration
A result for a different liner, coating, audio module or carton does not automatically describe your order. Send any destination or customer requirements with the buying brief, and request supporting evidence for the selected model.

Review changes to weight, accessories, packaging and artwork with the quotation. Agree how a revision affects tooling, order quantity and timing before confirming the production plan.
